Yoojin Jang, violin soloist – A powerful young violinist who has been praised for her “fiery virtuosity” and sensitive interpretation. She has been performing with top Korean orchestras such as the KBS Symphony Orchestra and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra since the age of 9. An active international soloist, she has appeared with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Bulgaria National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonia Orchestra, Erato Ensemble, Exremadura Orchestra and Kioi Sinfonietta- Tokyo.

Our season opener immerses us in a world of moonlit mysteries and fractured dreams. Bloch’s second violin sonata came to him after a night of feverish delirium, Rebecca Clarke evokes the Greek god of sleep, and Schoenberg’s sumptuous early masterpiece stands at the end of the great tradition of 19th century German Romanticism.
